The Project Management Institute (PMI) defines Project Management by first explaining what a project is, i.e. a temporary group activity designed to produce a unique product, service or result. A project is temporary in that it has a defined beginning and end in time, and therefore defined scope and resources. The development of software for an improved business process, the construction of a building or bridge, the relief effort after a natural disaster, the expansion of sales into a new geographic market — all are projects.

See an example of a PMI Body of Knowledge (BOK) application and outcome.

Project management, then, is the application of knowledge, skills and techniques to execute projects effectively and efficiently. It’s a strategic competency for organisations, enabling them to tie project results to business goals — and thus, better compete in their markets.

Do I have to get all the certifications to get a job in Project Management?

No! That is not the idea of this course bundle. This bundle is aimed at people with different levels of experience. You only need to get a certification that is appropriate to your level. For instance, if you are new to project management, then you only need to gain a CAPM to get work in Project Management. If you are an experienced Project Manager, then you should be looking at the PMP and/or ACP and/or RMP from this list. The course syllabus has more details on the prerequisites for the higher level certification courses.
If you are starting out at entry-level and wish to gain a Project Management certification, we would recommend you do courses 1-2 on the list above, then progress onto the CAPM.

How is each course taught?

All courses are online and self-paced, meaning you do it in your own home, in your own time, at your own pace.  Each lesson is pre-recorded allowing you to pause, fast-forward, skip sections, or go back to another lesson if you need to.  The lessons are multi-media based, which means video and audio are used to teach the lessons.  Most lessons are also interactive, prompting the learner to participate.  This might involve answering on-screen questions, participating in tasks. There are also mock tests to prepare you for your final certification exam.

How long will it take me to complete each course?

As mentioned above, our courses are self-paced.  Some people finish their course faster than others.  Courses 1-9 are between 9-30 hours. Each certification course is between 40-60 hours. You will have 6 months access to all the 13 courses in this bundle, which is more than enough time to complete the skills based courses and the certification course of your choice.

Are there exams involved and how much do they cost?

After completing your chosen certification course from the bundle, you have the option to get certified. In order to do this, you must fist obtain sit an official exam. Before doing this however, you must have registered for your examination with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and received your Authorization to Test (ATT) letter prior to scheduling your testing appointment at a Prometric Testing Center. We can provide you with complete guidance on this process.

We do not cover the cost of exam fees. This is something you will have to cover yourself. We have provided a guide to give you an idea of the costs involved. A more accurate price can be obtained by clicking on the link:
